Toyota, Suzuki, Subaru, Daihatsu and Mazda have announced a collaboration that will result in the development of a next-generation multimedia system based on Internet connectivity. The platform will include applications from other Japanese brands

Traditionally, manufacturers have developed solutions built from start to finish on their own terms and using their own technology. This is about to change. It’s all thanks to a joint project by the Toyota, Suzuki, Subaru, Daihatsu and Mazda brands.

Web-based services and applications are now one of the key steps to transforming mobility. What’s interesting is that the development of this technology is happening extremely fast – the use of cloud, internet of things, big data or artificial intelligence is currently under development!

The cooperation of Japanese brands will allow individual manufacturers to focus primarily on the development of shared applications and services while achieving much greater efficiency. This is another step towards the mobility of the future.
